What Makes The Snapdragon Special?
It’s the age-old adage….Location! Location! Location!
Combine a 41/2 star owner operated Bed & Breakfast with a world-class destination and you have a recipe for a great vacation. The Snapdragon is the perfect place to enjoy one of Canada’s great treasures – Prince Edward Island!
Our reputation and location work hand in hand to ensure our guests have a great time. We are within easy driving distance of spectacular uncrowded beaches, golf courses for the expert and the amateur; and all the other amazing things that PEI is famous for – Anne of Green Gables, live music, festivals, PEI mussels or lobster and Malpeque oysters.
Back at The Snapdragon, you can park your car and explore Charlottetown on foot. Within walking distance, you’ll discover the heart of historical Charlottetown, Canada’s smallest provincial capital city and the birthplace of Canada. Whether it’s fine dining, soulful street jazz, late night at the Mack, a live performance of Anne of Green Gables Musical, (which has been wowing audiences for 43 years), the yacht club overlooking the beautiful Charlottetown harbour or just taking a stroll along the boardwalk to Victoria Park, you’ll have plenty of new adventures to enjoy.
Breakfast is our favourite part of the day, good food, great conversation and laughter are always on the menu. As for the actual rooms, we are very proud of our Canada Select 4-1/2 star rating. Enjoy our spectacular gardens from your private balcony, or while relaxing on one of our garden chairs amidst the vivid array of colour.
Innkeeper, Nadell Hebert, a proud Islander who raised her family here on PEI, has been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years. Her energy and enthusiasm for life, along with her winning personality and business acumen have served her well through the years. She has owned and operated a large family restaurant and gift shop, has managed a motel/cottages and has played an active role in the tourism association in the area. Her love of cooking is surpassed only by her nurturing and caring for the people in her life….you could be next!
